Costume Designer - Edith Head

While exploring the relationship between fashion and cinema, at the moment, looking closely at Haute Couture in film, I have become interested in the work and life of (the late) costume designer Edith Head. She has designed for films such as 'Anthing Goes' - 1956, 'Sylvia' -1965 and 'The Yellow Rolls Royce' - 1965, to name a few.

Many of the famous Hollywood stars for over four decades have been dressed by her and she has been recognised as a hard working, adaptable designer - winning 8 academy awards for her work and given a star on the Hollywood walk of fame.

As well as her work, it is her personal style which is very much a source of inspiration

Pulse is a a trade show of all different products from gift- home - fashion - jewellery etc etc etc meant to a a bit 'quirky'...ive never been so don't know, just what ive been told

Scarves

Spent the whole of friday trying to print scarves onto fabric..the ones i have mentioned before (paris themed). decided that trying to cut the image in half and printing each half seperately is just not going to work so annoyingly going to have to send them off to be done...this is all getting a little more complex than originally thought.

managed to freeze a computer and jam 2 printers in the process...a non productive day
